Commitment to Supplier Diversity

The demographics and overall makeup of our universe of customers and potential customers are shifting dramatically and, in some locations, almost daily. If we expect consumers to purchase Cox services and respect our company, we must achieve diversity in our business partnerships by developing a supplier base representative of the defining traits of all Cox customers and potential customers – all 10.2 million of them.

Our Supplier Diversity Mission

In 2004, Cox donated cash and other in-kind contributions totaling more than $50 million to 6,250 schools. Through Cox’s Line to Learning initiative, more than 2,400 schools, libraries and community centers receive complimentary high-speed Internet service. More than 6,250 schools receive free cable programming.

Cox Communications’ mission for Supplier Diversity is directly linked to our procurement policy and supply chain goals: Cast a wide net in order to provide equal access to purchasing opportunities for a diverse array of competitive minority and women-owned suppliers that truly reflects the diversity of our marketplace and customer base.
