With the Cox remote control and DVR service, you’re only a few button clicks away from recording upcoming shows or series.

To pre-schedule recordings

1. Press the GUIDE button on the remote control.
2. Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Channel option and press the SELECT button.
3. Use the arrow buttons to find and highlight an upcoming show to record.
4. Press REC or SELECT. The Confirm Recording screen displays.
5. Select the option to record One episode or All episodes in the RECORD column. Use the arrow buttons to select additional recording options, if desired.
6. Press the A button. The program(s) will be recorded automatically, even if the DVR set-top box is turned off.

To cancel a pre-scheduled recording from the Channel Guide

1. Press the GUIDE button on the remote control.
2. Highlight the program to be recorded and press the SELECT button.
3. Highlight the Cancel option and press the SELECT button.
4. Press the A button to confirm the cancellation.

Note: When you prepay for a PPV program, you can cancel the purchase at any time before the program begins by following the four steps above.

To edit your list of pre-scheduled recordings

1. Press the LIST button on the remote control.
2. Press the A button.
3. Highlight the scheduled recording you wish to edit.
4. Press the SELECT button.
5. Make the desired changes and press the A button to accept the changes.

To pre-schedule a PPV (pay-per-view) recording

Here are the four key steps to remember:

1. SELECT the PPV program from the program guide.
2. Press the REC (Record) button.
3. Choose the Buy and Record option.
4. Enter your PPV Purchase PIN, if required.

Here are the detailed steps:

Press the GUIDE button on the remote control to open the program guide.
Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, highlight the PPV (pay-per-view) title that you want to record.
Press the REC button on the remote.
The Recording Pay Per View screen displays. Press the A button on the remote to select the Buy and Record option.
The Pay Per View Event screen displays. Press the B button on the remote to select the Buy option.
If you previously set up a PPV PIN from the Settings Menu (press the SETTINGS button twice on the remote control), then the PIN Entry screen displays. If this screen does not display, go to step 7. Enter your 4-digit Purchase PIN number.
The Confirm Recording screen displays. Press the A button on the remote to select the Accept recording option.
The program guide displays. Note: The pre-scheduled recording is now highlighted in red. Also, the upper left quadrant of the screen displays the $ and REC icons, indicating the program is prepaid and scheduled to record. Press the EXIT button on the remote to exit. All steps complete.
